Karachi Kings fast bowler Hasan Ali has expressed his determination to reignite fan enthusiasm and deliver match-winning performances in the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, which kicks off on April 11.

The franchise officially commenced its training camp on Monday, with newly-appointed head coach Ravi Bopara and fast bowling coach Shaun Tait leading the preparations at National Bank Stadium, Karachi.

Addressing the media after the session, Hasan Ali underlined the importance of the PSL in shaping careers, especially for emerging cricketers, while also providing a valuable platform for senior players to make their mark.

“The PSL plays a vital role in grooming young talent. For senior players like myself, consistent performances here can open the door for a comeback to the national side,” Hasan remarked.

With a fresh coaching setup and revamped team dynamics, Hasan expressed confidence in the Kings’ preparation and their potential this season.

“There’s a lot that’s new at Karachi Kings this year, from the coaching staff to the team environment. We’re focused and optimistic, and we’ll give our all to lift the trophy this season. Ravi Bopara’s vast experience is a great asset for us,” he added.

The right-arm pacer, who has previously worked under Shaun Tait during their time with the national team, shared his excitement at reuniting with the former Australian speedster.

“Shaun Tait is an excellent coach. I’ve worked with him before in the Pakistan setup and learned a lot from him. His presence will definitely benefit our bowling unit,” Hasan said.

Reflecting on the league’s journey, Hasan emphasized the responsibility of players in upholding the league’s legacy.

“The PSL is completing a decade, and that’s a massive achievement. All players—local and international—have a role to play in making this milestone season successful.”

The 30-year-old, who was among the leading wicket-takers in last year’s tournament, is eyeing another impactful campaign to strengthen his case for national selection.

“I had a good season last year and was among the top wicket-takers. I want to build on that and continue performing well to earn my place back in the Pakistan team,” he concluded.

It’s worth noting that HBL PSL 10 will run from April 11 to May 18, featuring 34 matches across four venues. The opening clash will see defending champions Islamabad United take on Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Meanwhile, Karachi Kings will play their opening match of the season on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at their home ground—National Bank Stadium, Karachi—against Multan Sultans.
